I’m Jeremy — I enjoy easing pain and inspiring joy with design.

I’ve learned to follow the double diamond design process - a circular process of divergent exploration and convergent decision-making, focused on the greatest (intense, frequent) need or problem to solve and the best (simplest, effective) solution to solve it. I’ve also learned you can’t fully understand a problem until you begin the process of solving it — or realize the best solution until you’ve finished. And I’ve learned it’s always best to invite others along in the process.

It all began on the bedroom floor; a post-apocalyptic landscape of LEGO pieces set against a soundtrack of Billy Joel, Elton John, and The Beatles on cassette. As an only child, I spent much of my childhood exploring worlds I imagined. I drew new characters for the Star Wars universe and designed bio pages for a basketball team of dinosaurs. Once I discovered MS Paint on my dad’s computer, I knew my career had begun. I just had no idea where it would take me.

Currently, I’m at IMDb, where I get to help people explore shows and movies, connect with like-minded fans, and discover what to watch. Over the past 17 years, I’ve helped solve problems across a wide range of industries (from local businesses to non-profits to law firms to startups to big tech) within a wide range of mediums (from branding to print marketing to multimedia presentations to responsive web experiences to mobile and TV experiences).

There is no shortage of problems to solve — I feel this career is the gift that keeps on giving. I’m excited for what’s next.
