About

At IMDb, I've spent the past 8 years building the experiences that connect 250MM+ monthly users with entertainment they love. I created Interests from scratch: a 280+ page discovery and identity system spanning subgenres, franchises, and languages, now reaching millions of customers monthly and driving the company's personalization and engagement strategy. I lead mobile UX across iOS and Android, designed IMDb's GenAI-powered user review summaries, and shaped how Alexa integrates with IMDb and other independent Amazon brands.

Before IMDb, I helped launch Amazon Spark (social product discovery), led design at Porch (home services marketplace), and spent four years leading a team at an agency, meeting the needs of global clients like Microsoft and Starbucks. Over 19 years, the industries, mediums, and tools have changed. From print to responsive web to mobile to AI. But the instinct hasn't. Build things that help people. Period.

My work lives at the intersection of product strategy, customer research, and craft. I propose new products, build working prototypes, design taxonomy systems, and fight for the simplest, most scalable solution. Because a single naming decision ("interests" instead of "genres") can determine whether an idea can grow and evolve to meet shifting needs in a changing world.

I care about building things that help people feel known, that reflect their own desires and intentions back to them, and that connect them with others who see the world similarly. Over 19 years across startups, agencies, and big tech, that instinct has stayed constant. It's the tools that change. And boy have they changed.

I can’t wait to discover what’s next.

Career Timeline

2018 - Present
Senior UX Designer

IMDb

I'm responsible for some of the most foundational and future-looking experiences at IMDb, including:

Interests: Created IMDb's Interest Pages from nothing. Wrote the PR/FAQ, designed the ecosystem, selected the initial 195 interests, wrote every definition, and drove implementation across 10+ teams. Now 280+ pages spanning genres, franchises, and languages. Interests are the foundation for personalization, engagement, and notifications at IMDb.

Mobile Apps: Strategy, roadmap, accessibility program, and UX oversight across 27+ active initiatives on iOS and Android. Lead cross-platform design for native user interfaces, notifications, onboarding, and navigation.

GenAI Experiences: UX for AI-powered review summaries, title overviews, and season summaries. Designed the quality framework and customer-facing presentation of generated content.

Where to Watch: Previously led design for IMDb's living room experience (exclusively on Fire TV), which provided revolutionary methods for everyone on the couch to find something to watch.
